Research Partnerships

Information Resources Management Association (IRMA)

IGI Global’s longest standing partnership is with IRMA for conferences and special issues. The Information Resources Management Association (IRMA) welcomes professionals, students, and academicians to search thousands of peer-reviewed works covering all areas of technology applied to modern organizations. Aiming to enhance knowledge of current topics in Information Resources Management, the IGI Global journal, The Information Resources Management Journal (IRMJ), is part of this partnership.

United Kingdom Systems Society (UKSS)

IGI Global began a partnership with this research society in 2012. The goal of the society is to further the spectrum of systems research. UKSS embraces all aspects of social concerns from environmental issues and organizational concerns to health and social well being. The IGI Global journal, International Journal of Systems and Society (IJSS), is the official journal of the United Kingdom Systems Society (UKSS).

International Academic Consulting and Service (IACS)

IGI Global partners with IACS for educational workshops and research projects. IACS (International Academic Consulting and Service) was founded by the Institute of Convergence Education in South Korea. IACS is an international society for supporting distinguished scholars and students who are researching various areas of Science and Technology. IACS also facilitates the availability of various research material and services to academic, industry and government organizations.

IGI Global partners with COUNTER to provide standard usage reports for libraries. COUNTER (Project COUNTER) provides standards that ensure vendors and publishers can provide their library customers with consistent, credible and comparable usage data.

CLOCKSS and LOCKSS

IGI Global partners with CLOCKSS and LOCKSS to provide archival access of research. CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) is a not-for-profit joint venture between the world’s leading academic publishers and research libraries whose mission is to build a sustainable, geographically distributed dark archive with which to ensure the long-term survival of Web-based scholarly publications for the benefit of the greater global research community.
