Catherine Saunders

Catherine C. Saunders is a PhD Candidate in African American Literature at Howard University. Her dissertation examines Black interiority across four matrices, sound, maternity, cultural geographies, and history to delineate the insurrectionary power of African American literature. Her dissertation functions with intentions to challenge the flattening of Black people and Black culture by turning the lens casted onto them inside out.
