Claudette P. Davis

Claudette P. Davis received her Ph.D. in Cell, and Molecular Biology from the Graduate School and University Center, CUNY, in 2007 and is currently an Associate Professor at LaGuardia Community College, CUNY. She teaches Anatomy and Physiology, and biology for non-majors and serves as a research mentor to undergraduate STEM majors and high school students. In addition, she is the coordinator for the City University of New York's STEM Research Academy program for high school students at LaGuardia. She is a co-coordinator of the Q-STEM Research and Summer Academy program, whose goal is to provide LaGuardia's STEM majors with transferable skills as they prepare to complete their Bachelor's degree at a 4-year college. She is also the LaGuardia Humanitarian Initiative’s professional development leader interested in providing faculty with valuable tips and tools to implement experiential learning in their classroom.
