Cristina Delgado Henriques

Cristina Delgado Henriques is a Geographer and Urban and Regional Planner, Assistant Professor at the Lisbon School of Architecture, Universidade de Lisboa, since 1997. PhD in Urban Planning from the Technical University of Lisbon. Graduated in Geography and Regional Planning from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Holder of a scholarship from the Institute of Tropical Research, for the development of Cabo Verde Atlas, and of a scholarship, from FCT (Portuguese national funding agency, for science, research and technology) in the Military Geographical Institute, for the working up of the international project Vector Smart Map. Post-graduated in Land Information Surveying, from Erasmus Program (Ghent University and Roskilde University), and in GIS from Instituto Superior Técnico, (Universidade de Lisboa).Author of the book “Maputo. Cinco décadas de mudança territorial. O uso do solo observado por tecnologias de informação geográfica”, published in 2008 by Instituto Português para o Desenvolvimento (IPAD). Her main scientific areas of research are Applied Geography, GIS, Spatial Analysis, Urban Modelling, Urban Planning, African Studies.
