Fátima Mendes

Fátima Mendes has a degree in Mathematics, branch of Educational Training, a master’s degree in education and development and a PhD in Education, specializing in Mathematics Didactics. She is a Coordinating Teacher at the School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal. She has developed her professional activity in the initial and continuous training of educators and teachers since 1988. She is the author of books, book chapters and articles published in specialized journals in mathematics and has participated in several research and development projects. Recently, she was part of the team of the Digital Educational Resources (DER) project, the ARTICULAR project - An experience of curricular articulation in the initial training of educators and teachers of the 1st cycle, and the Reason research project Mathematical Reasoning and Teacher Training.
