Gerald Steiner

Gerald Steiner is a Full Professor of Organizational Communication and Innovation, Head of the Department for Knowledge and Communication Management, Dean of Faculty of Business and Globalization. He is a former Schumpeter Professor (Schumpeter Fellowship) and Visiting Scholar at Harvard University’s Weatherhead Center for International Affairs (WCFIA). Before, he was an Associate Professor of Systemic and Sustainability Management at the Institute of Systems Sciences, Innovation and Sustainability Research at the University of Graz. He was also one of four founding members of this institute; subsequently he chaired the curriculum development working group. Further, he teaches applied innovation processes at the School of Industrial Design in Graz. Gerald Steiner received his Venia Legendi in “Systemic and Sustainability Management” (“Habilitation”) in 2009. Over the past decades he has developed and codirected several graduate school curricula and teaches numerous graduate level seminars and courses both nationally and internationally.
