Giuseppe Quaranta

Giuseppe Quaranta is Associate Professor in Structural Engineering at Sapienza University of Rome (Italy) since 2019, and holds the National Scientific Habilitation for the position of Full Professor in Structural Engineering since 2020. His main research fields are the following: i) structural monitoring of civil structures and infrastructures (including design of traditional and smart sensor networks, dynamic identification as well as structural diagnostic); ii) optimum design of seismic protection devices (including seismic isolators, tuned mass dampers, and viscous dampers); iii) analysis and design of concrete structures, concrete-filled steel tubes and truss-reinforced composite steel-concrete beams.
