Gorete Dinis

Maria Gorete Dinis holds a Ph.D. in Tourism, an MA in Innovation, Planning and Development, and a BSc in Tourism Management and Planning from the University of Aveiro. She is coordinator and professor of the BSc in Tourism at the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre (PIP) / School of Education and Social Sciences. She is a full member of the Research Unit ‘Governance, Competitiveness, and Public Policies’ and collaborating member of Centre for Tourism Research, Development and Innovation (CITUR).She is also a member of the editorial and scientific boards of international journals, as well as a member of the scientific committees of international tourism conferences. During recent years, she has published several scientific articles and presented communications in areas such as management of tourist destinations, tourism indicators, ICT applied to tourism and Big data in tourism.
