Iona Amy Murphy

Iona Murphy is a final year English Literature PhD student at The University of Huddersfield. Her research explores the representation of body dysmorphia and ableism in Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar, ‘Johnny Panic and the Bible of Dreams,’ and ‘Tongues of Stone.’ Her research areas of interest are modern American female poetry, Queer Theory, and Disability Studies. She is a seminar tutor and an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
