Isha DeCoito

Isha DeCoito is an Assistant Professor in Curriculum Studies, STEM Education at Western University. Her research interests include early intervention for promoting integrative STEM education, gender disparity in STEM education, digital technologies for promoting inquiry and STEM integration and project based learning, enhancing nature of science conceptions through digital games, exploring and promoting diversity and equity in science education, students' images of STEM professionals, and teacher professional development. She is also involved in comparative education and is a member of the Borderless Higher Education for Refugees project in Dadaab, Kenya. She is currently investigating inquiry frameworks and the influence of border crossing on the preparation of mathematics and science teachers in a refugee context.
