J. Alfred Daniel

Alfred Daniel J. received his B. Tech in Information Technology from Anna University, Chennai, India, and his MBA in Software Enterprise Management from Anna University Coimbatore, India. Later, he joined the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Kyungpook National University, Korea, where he completed his Master's in Computer Engineering at the Connected Computing and Media Processing (CCMP) Lab. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor at Karpagam Academy of Higher Education, India. In 2014, he visited National Taiwan University (NTU), Taiwan as an Intern at Intel lab. Since 2015, he has published over 40 International Journal and Conference papers in vehicular networks, Internet of Things and Big Data Analytics. In 2016, he registered a Korean Patent entitled "Cooperative Cognitive Intelligence for Internet of Vehicles". In 2016, he also authored one Elsevier Morgan Freeman book publication, "Intelligent Vehicular Communications: Fundamentals, Architectures, and Solutions - Elsevier". He won the Best paper award at the ICSNS conference 2015 at SNS College of Technology, Coimbatore. Moreover, he is the recipient of ACM Travel Grants for the prestigious conference ACM SAC 2014. He is an active IEEE member and serves several reputed conferences/journals as a reviewer. His research interests include vehicular networks, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Cooperative Cognitive Intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), and Big Data Analytics.
