Jesica Fernandez-Agüera

Jessica Fernandez-Agüera is senior researcher at the University of Seville with extensive experience in indoor air quality and environmental control in buildings. Her research focus on the architectural-environment control for inhabitants’ health comfort and wellness. She has participated in multiple R&D projects, both national and international, being author of several international research publications. She is leading the UE-FEDER Project “UnCOVER: Evaluation of the protection capacity against pollution of Early Childhood Education Centers in Andalusia”. Related to this work she is editing the book ” Guidelines on ventilation, thermal comfort and indoor air quality in schools “. She has conducted awareness campaigns on indoor and outdoor air quality and developed activities and training materials for children between 4 to 10 years old, educators and public officials. She is developer of the Covid Risk airborne tool ( ). The app proposes a method for simulating disease airborne propagation via aerosols and to assess indoor infection risk.
