Joan Labay-Marquez

Joan Labay-Marquez , J.D. M. Jur., is licensed to practice law in Texas and serves as the Graduate Studies Coordinator for the Dreeben School of Education at the University of Incarnate Word starting in the fall of 2016. She earned her Juris Doctor and Master of Jurisprudence in Education with a concentration in Cyber & Data Security, Compliance, Business Law & Risk Management from St. Mary's University School of Law. She teaches Law & Ethics in Cybersecurity, Risk Management & Policy in Cybersecurity, Higher Education Law, Legal Issues in Student Affairs, and Texas School Law. She has taught traditional face- to-face, hybrid/hyflex and online courses.
