John Filos

John Filos is an Associate Professor in ‘Auditing – International Standards’ at Public Administration Department in Panteion University, Athens, Greece. He graduated from the Athens Economic University (ASOEE) received his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Connenticut, USA majoring in Accounting and Finance and has received his PhD at Panteion University, Athens, Greece. As a professional, he is certified as Certified Internal Auditor - CIA since 2002 and Certified Fraud Examiner – CFE since 2004. He worked in the auditing firm Arthur Andersen for 7 years (left at manager’s level)) and as a business consultant for private and public organizations for 10 years, while being internal auditor (part-time) at the Hellenic Deposit & Investment Guarantee Fund (ΤΕΚΕ). By Decisions of Ministers of Finance has been appointed as member to committees for the Public Sector Accounting reforms (2009) and also a member to the Disciplinary Board of the Accounting and Auditing Supervision Board (2012). By Decision of the Ministry of Health has been appointed as president to Drugs Pricing Committee (2015)
