João Álvaro Carvalho

João Alvaro Carvalho is Full Professor at Department of Information Systems, School of Engineering, University of Minho, Portugal. He holds a PhD in Information Systems from the UMIST (University of Manchester Institute of Science and technology), UK (1991). His research and teaching interests include: the foundations of information systems, information systems development, meta-modelling, requirements engineering, knowledge management, and R&D methods. He currently is the Director of the Doctoral Program on Information Systems and Technology at University of Minho.
