Kathryn Towe Littleton

Kathryn Towe Littleton , PhD, is the Director of Human Resources for ThyssenKrupp, a materials and metal distributor in Southfield, Michigan. Dr. Littleton grew up in South Carolina and received an undergraduate degree from Hampton University and a Masters degree from Michigan State University. She was employed by General Motors for 30 years and became the first African American woman in the arbitration sector of the General Motors Corporate Relations staff. Inspired by her interactions with and observations of the growing number of millennials on her staff, Dr. Littleton completed her PhD in Organizational Leadership in 2015, including a phenomenological study focusing on mentoring millennial employees and retention in organizations.
