Khalid Shaikh

Khalid Shaikh is a Senior Diabetologist and Specialist Physician in Internal Medicine with keen interest in research and real-world practice in the field of diabetes and Internal Medicine. Practicing since 1989 after completing MBBS, he went on to do Post graduate diploma in Endocrine from University of South Wales UK and a Masters in Diabetes from Cardiff University UK. He has achieved more than 33 years of clinical practice, with over 20 publications in international journals, besides being an external reviewer in developing guidelines on insulin therapy in diabetes for the East African Diabetes Study Group. He is also on editorial board and reviewer for many National and International journals like Diabetes Therapy with Springer and Indian Journal of Endocrine and Metabolism. And a co-editor of “Safe Feasting and Fasting” a monthly newsletter by the South Asian Federation of Endocrine Societies (SAFES) - dedicated to fasting and diabetes in different religion including intermittent fasting.
