Makhanana Malungane

Makhanana Malungane is an economic researcher with an interest in the people behind entrepreneurial exploits. She tries to understand questions like: Who are they? How did they get there?. She holds an honours degree in economics specialising in international trade and finance from the University of Johannesburg. Her current obsession is in food systems and the people behind them. She is currently an MSocSci Development Studies candidate at the University of Pretoria her research focuses on the social and economic forces that shape the Johannesburg Fresh Produce Market.
