Margarida Mano

Margarida Mano , holds a PhD in Management from the University of Southampton, is Vice-Rector for Quality, Innovation and Strategic Development of Universidade Católica Portuguesa. President of the Board of FORGES (Association Forum of Higher Education Management in Portuguese Speaking Countries and Regions), she was Minister of Education and Science in the XX Government of the Portuguese Republic (2015) and Member of Parliament in the XIII Legislature (2015-2019), having held management positions at University of Coimbra (Vice-Rector, Pro-Rector and Administrator) and in Banking. Lecturer in the areas of Economics (economic policies) and Management (strategic management, institutional assessment, and quality management), she is a specialist in Change Management and Governance Models in Education. Founding member of international university networks (RAUI; HUMANE and FORGES) she is the author of several publications in the field of Higher Education, on Governance and Strategic Management, having participated in several international projects and panels as an expert in the Education sector.
