Maria Laura Gasparini

Maria Laura Gasparini is a tourism researcher and consultant with a solid background in the private and non-profit sectors gained in Latin America, Europe and Oceania. She holds a Master’s Degree in Tourism Economics and Management from the University of Bologna (Italy) and a Degree in Tourism from the National University of Lanús (Buenos Aires, Argentina). She has specialized in the role of sustainability indicators as policy-making tools in European destinations. She is currently Research Fellow and PhD candidate at the Center for Advanced Studies in Tourism (CAST), University of Bologna, being her main research focus on rural development, Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe, sustainability measuring through sustainable tourism indicators.
