Md Ikhtiar Uddin Bhuiyan

Md Ikhtiar Uddin Bhuiyan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Government and Politics at Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. In addition, he is working as Students Welfare Advisor in the Department of Government and Politics. In addition with academic rules he is serving as an Advisor of Transparency International of Bangladesh(TIB)- Yes Group, Jahangirnagar University. Moreover, he is playing pivotal role to eliminate food adulteration in the position of advisor in Youth Consumers Forum. Mr. Ikhtiar is an academic with a proven track record both in teaching and research on issues of international relations and public policy issues which are central to meet social challenges. His publications prove his commitment to investigate social issues. Mr. Ikhtiar joined the department in 2016 as a lecturer. Since joining as a lecturer, he has been actively involved in research, teaching and administrative activities with sincerity and dedication. Prior to joining in the department, he worked in Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) since 2014 and before joining in BCS, he also served in the Customs Department as a Customs Officer. In addition, he also worked in the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) as a protocol officer. Moreover, he worked in the Investment Corporation of Bangladesh as a senior officer. In 2018, Mr. Ikhtiar went to Japan for his advanced level second Master degree on Public Policy and returned in September 2019 after successfully completing his Master degree from National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Tokyo, Japan.
