Mei-Ling Shyu

Mei-Ling Shyu has been an Associate Professor at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), University of Miami (UM) since June 2005. Prior to that, she was an Assistant Professor in ECE at UM from 2000. She received her Ph.D. degree from Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1999, and her Master’s degrees from Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and Restaurant, Hotel, Institutional, and Tourism Management, all from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, USA. Her research interests include multimedia data mining, management & retrieval, and security. She has authored/co-authored more than 200 technical papers. She is a Fellow of SIRI.
