Michelle M. Sands

Michelle M. Sands is an Assistant Professor at Northern Illinois University. She completed her PhD at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her research interests include inclusive early childhood special education, collaboration and transdisciplinary teaming, transition, and alignment and continuity between birth-to-five programs and primary settings that serve children with disabilities. Her current work is investigating administrator's possible influence on teachers' use of high-intensity kindergarten transition practices.
