Mohamed M. Samy

Mohamed M. Samy earned his doctorate in International Agricultural Development at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Samy is an academic and administrator with over 30 years of experience designing and managing educational and institutional capacity-building projects and higher education and technical agricultural training programs in the United States, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Egypt. Dr. Samy served as the Chief of Party for two leading educational and agricultural development projects for the United States Agency for International Development in Egypt with a total budget of US$ 20 million. He directed the University of Illinois and the Midwest Universities Consortium for International Activities’ efforts to support six Egyptian universities and the Ministries of Education and Agriculture in modernizing educational programs and implementing effective technical training that prepared thousands of students for careers in global agriculture. Dr. Samy previously served as coordinator for the University of Illinois project “Increasing Farm Income through the Production of Value-Added Products.
