Mourad Fakhfakh

Mourad Fakhfakh was born in Sfax, Tunisia in 1969. He received the Engineering, the PhD, and the Habilitation degrees from the National Engineering School of Sfax, Tunisia, in 1996, 2006, and 2011, respectively. From 1998 to 2004, he worked at the Tunisian National Company of Electricity and Gas (STEG) as the head of the technical intervention department. In September 2004, he joined the National School of Electronics and Telecommunications (ENET’Com), formerly the High Institute of Electronics and Communications (ISECS), where he is working as an Associate Professor. Dr. Fakhfakh is an IEEE senior member. He has (co)authored 2 books and more than 100 papers in high-impact journals, international conferences, and book chapters. He regularly serves as a reviewer in high impact-factor international journals and conferences. Dr. Fakhfakh’s research interests include symbolic analysis techniques, analog circuit synthesis and design automation, and optimization techniques.

Performance Optimization Techniques in Analog, Mixed-Signal, and Radio-Frequency Circuit Design
Mourad Fakhfakh, Esteban Tlelo-Cuautle, Maria Helena Fino. © 2015. 464 pages.
Improving the performance of existing technologies has always been a focal practice in the development of computational systems. However, as circuitry is becoming more complex...
Backtracking ACO for RF-Circuit Design Optimization
Bachir Benhala, Mouna Kotti, Ali Ahaitouf, Mourad Fakhfakh. © 2015. 22 pages.
Sizing analog, mixed-signal, and particularly radio-frequency circuits generally relies on the experience of the designer. Metaheuristics have been recently proposed, and it has...
Combination of Metaheuristics to the Optimal Design of Analog and RF Circuits
Amin Sallem, Mouna Kotti, Mourad Fakhfakh, Esteban Tlelo-Cuautle, Patrick Siarry. © 2015. 25 pages.
Multi-objective metaheuristics are over and over again used by analog designers. They allow generating a set of non-dominated solutions (i.e. the Pareto front). In this chapter...
MO-TRIBES for the Optimal Design of Analog Filters
Mourad Fakhfakh, Patrick Siarry. © 2013. 17 pages.
The authors present the use of swarm intelligence in the analog design field. MO-TRIBES, which is an adaptive user-parameter less version of the multi-objective particle swarm...
SODAC: A Simulation-Based Tool for the Optimal Design of Analog Circuits
Amin Sallem, Mourad Fakhfakh, Esteban Tlelo-Cuautle, Mourad Loulou. © 2012. 20 pages.
It is of common use that analog designers start by optimizing the basic building bloc forming an active circuit in order to ‘optimally’ size the latter. Even though it is known a...
