Mubarik Abdul Mumin

Mubarik Abdul Mumin is a dedicated lecturer at the University for Development Studies School of Business, renowned for his expertise in procurement and supply chain management. Born into a family of twelve children, he emerged as a determined scholar, driven by a thirst for knowledge and a passion for business. His academic journey began with distinction in his basic education, followed by a pursuit of business accounting during his senior high school years. Alongside his studies, he embraced leadership roles, serving as School Prefect, SRC president, GMSA president, and GMSA vice president at the zonal level, demonstrating his natural ability to inspire and influence others. Fuelled by his ambition, he embarked on his undergraduate studies in integrated business studies, with a specialization in management, at the esteemed University for Development Studies. There, he thrived academically and graduated with honours, earning a second class upper degree. Upon completing his national service at the Tamale Metro Assembly, he joined the Netherlands initiative for capacity development in higher education, where he immersed himself in the world of logistics and supply chain management. Eager to advance his knowledge, he enrolled in an MPhil program in logistics and supply chain management at the prestigious Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology from 2018 to 2020. In December 2020, Mr. Mubarik embarked on an exciting new chapter as an assistant lecturer at the University for Development Studies. His exceptional teaching skills, coupled with his extensive research experience, quickly propelled him to the position of lecturer. Throughout his nearly three years in academia, he has collaborated with esteemed colleagues on several ground-breaking research projects, which await publication in renowned journals. Driven by his unwavering commitment to professional growth, Mr. Mubarik has secured an esteemed supervisor from Sheffield University for his upcoming PhD project, set to commence in September 2023. This Endeavor promises to further enhance his expertise and contribute to the ever-evolving field of procurement and supply chain management. As a visionary educator, researcher, and aspiring PhD candidate, Mr. Mubarik continues to inspire and shape the minds of future business leaders. With his dedication to academic excellence, passion for his subject matter, and unwavering pursuit of knowledge, he is undoubtedly poised to make a lasting impact in the world of procurement and supply chain management.
