Nivedita Bhattacharyya Sahu

Nivedita Bhattacharyya Sahu has completed her BLISc, MLISc and Phd from the University of Calcutta, Kolkata, India. A gold medallist at both BLISc and MLISc level Dr. Bhattacharyya Sahu has completed 14 years in PG teaching. She is presently the Associate Professor in Vidyasagar University, Midnapore, West Bengal India. Before joining Vidyasagar University she was the University Research Fellow at University of Calcutta. She has authored a book, edited three volumes and published almost 50 research articles in reputed National and International journals. She has also delivered Invited lectures on a number of occasions in State level, National and International conferences and has a good number of papers presented in conferences. She is guiding PhD students and five of them are awarded their Phd degrees under her guidance. She has been the Principal Investigator in two projects funded by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). She is the recipient of South East Asian Subsistence Fellowship for scoring highest marks in BLISc exam in 2006 and Young Information Scientist award from Society of Information Science, India in the year 2010. Her domains of interest mainly are Reference sources and services, Information products and services, Community Information Service and Bibliometrics.
