Olivia Espejel

Olivia Espejel is Dr. (PhD) in Language Didactics from the University of Barcelona, she is a teacher of Spanish as a foreign language and a foreign language teacher trainer. She has been an associate lecturer at the University of Barcelona and UNIBA since 2016, where she teaches courses on ICT and ELE didactics, as well as serving as a tutor for student portfolios and Master's theses. Additionally, since 2020 she has been a teacher collaborator at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, where she provides training to language teachers on the use of technology and collaboration. She is also a member of the realTIC research group. Furthermore, she teaches Spanish as a foreign language at UABIdiomes in Barcelona. Her research interests primarily lie in the use of ICT in foreign language teaching, particularly in distance education, online interaction, and telecollaboration.
