Patricia E. Lane

Patricia Lane , Ed.D., has been in education for 19 years. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in education from Howard University. She then attended the University of Pennsylvania and received a master’s degree in education with an English concentration. She also possesses a K-12th-grade administrative credential. She has served as a junior high English teacher, a support staff member, and a school administrator in elementary and secondary school settings. Dr. Lane is currently an Assistant Professor of Liberal Studies at Fresno State University. Her research interests include Black student excellence and resilience, Black educator perseverance, and culturally sustaining pedagogy.
