Peisheng Zhao

Peisheng Zhao is a Research Associate Professor in Center for Spatial Information Science and Systems at George Mason University. Dr. Zhao received his Ph. D. in Geographic Information System and Cartography from China Academy of Sciences, China in 2000. His research interests include on geospatial information interoperability, and geospatial data mining and knowledge discovery. He is known for his contributions to geospatial Web services and workflow. He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed papers in these areas. Dr. Zhao is a co-investigator of several NASA, NGA, FGDC and OGC funded projects. He is an active OGC member to involve the development of standards for geospatial and location based services. In addition, he acts as a reviewer for several journals and participates in various conference and workshop program committees.
