Sanjeev Kumar Kumar Saxena

Sanjeev Kumar Saxena holds a Ph.D. in Human Resources, MBA, M.Com (Gold Medalist), B.Sc in H&HA, and a 3-year Diploma in Hotel Management. He has further enhanced his expertise through various certificate courses from prestigious institutions such as IIM Bangalore, IIT Kanpur, and IIT Kharagpur. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Assam University, Silchar, Dr. Saxena has had a great career for 32 years. He worked in the industry for 21 years and taught in academia for 11 years. His professional journey commenced in 1992 at The Taj Group of Hotels, where he began as a Management Trainee. After an impactful tenure of over 5 years with The Taj Group, Dr. Saxena transitioned to the Institute of Hotel Management, Jodhpur, serving as a lecturer for more than 9 years. In 2007, he joined Jaypee Hotels & Resorts as a Learning & Development Manager for 5+ years before taking on the role of Principal at IHM Silvassa. Subsequently, he rejoined Jaypee Hotels & Resorts in 2013, holding the position of Additional General Manager (HRD) for 8 years. In academia, Dr. Saxena has built an impressive portfolio, with 25 research papers and 6 authored books covering topics such as Human Resource Management, Front Office & F&B Service. Additionally, he has supervised two Ph.D. scholars and one MPhil scholar. His specialized knowledge spans the fields of Human Resource, Strategic Management, Marketing, and Hospitality.
