Saqib Hafiz Khateeb

Saqib Hafiz Khateeb is pursuing his Ph.D. in Religious Studies at the University of Ottawa. He graduated from SOAS-University of London with an MA in Islamic Studies majoring in Islamic Law, and an MSc in Islamic Finance from Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU, Doha) after completing a BA in Islamic Law and Jurisprudence, from the Islamic University of Madinah. Saqib has worked extensively throughout his academic career as a Research Fellow at HBKU, on various research projects on Islamic Finance and Islamic Studies. He was a Graduate Research Assistant at Law Department in SOAS - London, and a Graduate Research Assistant at HBKU - Doha. His research interests lie in the areas of Islamic Jurisprudence, Muslim Family Law, Islamic Legal Studies, Inheritance laws, Islamic Social Finance, Women and Human Rights in Islam.
