Sodiq T. Arogundade

Sodiq Arogundade holds a Ph.D. in economics from the School of Economics and Econometrics, University of Johannesburg (UJ). He has more than seven years of cognate experience in lecturing, the financial market, public policy advocacy, and management consulting. He worked as a lead economist at the Nigerian Stock Exchange, a senior economist at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a research analyst at Kainos Edge Consulting, Nigeria. Sodiq currently works as a research fellow and assistant lecturer at the School of Economics, UJ. He has published several scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals and has been involved in several professional consulting projects. Specifically, Sodiq has consulted for organizations such as the IAU-British Council, South African Reserve Bank, Gauteng Department of Economic Development, MTN Nigeria, Financial and Fiscal Commission (FFC), Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, and Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE). His expertise covers impact assessment studies, monitoring and evaluation, public policy advocacy, environmental scanning, and business intelligence. He is also very vast in the following quantitative methods: causal inference, time series analysis, panel data econometrics, data envelopment analysis, and machine learning econometric method.
