Stephanie Gardner

A native of North Carolina, Professor Stephanie Gardner, JD specializes in teaching Business Law to bilingual students enrolled in English-speaking programs in Brussels, Belgium. With over 20 years experience in higher education, Gardner has guided hundreds of bilingual students in mastering legal terms, concepts and theories.

Embracing the opportunities presented in teaching international students, Gardner strives to cultivate cultural awareness and sensitivity. She finds this is especially important when linguistic barriers can create challenges.

Renowned for her distinctive teaching style, Gardner brings her practical experience and passion for law into the classroom through interactive lectures, case studies and student role playing. She consistently receives top rankings in student-teacher evaluations and has been ranked #1 Professor by her students on numerous occassions.

Gardner has appeared as a regular guest lecturer at universities in Vietnam, China, Turkey, Morocco, France, The Netherlands and Serbia. She has also served as Program Director and Head of the International and European Law Bachelor at The Brussels School of Governance, Brussels.

A former attorney with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission in Washington DC and JPMorgan Bank in Brussels, she holds a Juris Doctorate from Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska where she served as President of the Student Bar Association. She earned her undergraduate degree from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. An ardent life-long-learner, Professor Gardner has also attended courses at Sorbonne Université, Universeit Antwerpen, Harvard College, Georgetown University, Boston University and University of California, San Diego.
