Steve Lemerand

Steve Lemerand (he/him) is a Ph.D. student in higher education at the University of Arizona dedicated to co-creating more equitable systems of postsecondary education through liberating communities from the effects of academic capitalism and its exacerbation of social inequities. Steve’s research explores queerness in college and university environments and how institutions mediate the performativity of gender and sexuality, aiming to foster more experiences of queer joy.
