Susan N. Kushner Benson

Susan N. Kushner Benson is an associate professor in the LeBron James Family Foundation College of Education at the University of Akron. She has been teaching fully online since 2001 and is the co-designer of a fully online master’s degree in Assessment, Evaluation, and Data Literacy. She is the recipient of the College of Educations Outstanding Teaching Award. Dr. Kushner Benson’s areas of expertise include classroom assessment, the pedagogy of online teaching and learning and applied research methods. Her work is published in journals such as Journal of Educational Computing Research, Journal of Online Learning and Teaching, and Social Psychology of Education. Dr. Kushner Benson is a co-author of the book Decision-Making in Planning and Teaching, and the book chapter The Essential Role of Pedagogical Knowledge in Technology Integration for Transformative Teaching and Learning.
