Will Lingle

Will Lingle teaches in the Center for Language Research at the University of Aizu in Aizu-Wakamatsu, Japan. He has been teaching English as a Foreign Language in South Korea and Japan for over twenty years in total. His master's and doctoral research focused on Critical Discourse Analysis and Corpus Linguistics as well as English Language Teaching. He continues to conduct research in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and is beginning research in Psycholinguistics focusing on reading research using eye-tracking. His research interests include finding ways to encourage students to become independent language learners, examining methods of teaching critical thinking skills, and investigating the inferences readers make during reading tasks.
