Zibiah Alfred Loakthar

Zibiah Alfred Loakthar is a Lecturer in Refugee Care at the University of Essex and Centre for Trauma Asylum and Refugees. She has taught postgraduate and undergraduate students for several years and been involved in initiatives at the university to promote inclusion of people from refugee backgrounds and to increase awareness and understanding of refugee issues amongst the community. She is the Inclusivity Lead for the Department of Psychosocial and Psychoanalytic Studies at the University of Essex and a guest lecturer for Social Work students at Goldsmiths University. Zibiah has a PhD in Refugee Oral History and has worked in the charity sector with diverse communities in the UK for many years.
