The Editors-in Chief
In 2018 (volume 9), Dr. Samuel Adu-Prah from the Department of Geography and Geology at Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, Texas, joined the founding editor, Donald Patrick Albert as co-editor-in-chief (Figure 1) of the International Journal of Applied Geospatial Research. Samuel has strong connections with the American Association of Geographers (AAG), the African Specialty Group of the AAG, the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa, and the Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program. These contacts have proven to be beneficial to IJAGR. Adu-Prah has contributed to IJAGR in numerous capacities, including as author, ad-hoc reviewer, editorial review board member, associate editor, and currently as co-editor-in-chief. He has a strong research background in geographic information science and remote sensing of the environment. Dr. Albert gained recognition as a medical geographer focusing on the geography of naturopathic physicians before moving on to geography education. Most recently, he has been exploring geohistorical questions concerning the mutiny on the Bounty. His first major study in historical geography, “Did or Could Seabirds “Halo” Pitcairn Island for Fletcher Christian?,” was published in Terrae Incognitae, Vol. 50, No. 2, 2018, 99-114. IJAGR is gaining recognition among Bounty enthusiasts.
