Furthermore, the utilisation of AI-driven clinical decision support systems provides medical personnel with immediate access to valuable information and evidence-based suggestions, thereby improving patient outcomes and ensuring safety. Moreover, in fields like medical imaging, AI systems demonstrate exceptional proficiency in identifying abnormalities and aiding radiologists in the process of interpreting data.

Introduction

Artificial intelligence (AI) has become a powerful and influential factor in the medical industry, fundamentally changing different elements of healthcare provision, including diagnosis, treatment, research, and patient care. AI-augmented medicine is the phenomenon wherein artificial intelligence (AI) technology are incorporated into the field of medicine with the aim of augmenting clinical decision-making, enhancing patient outcomes, and optimizing healthcare operations. Through the utilization of sophisticated machine learning algorithms, natural language processing methodologies, and big data analytic, AI empowers healthcare practitioners to scrutinize extensive quantities of patient data, extract significant insights, and formulate tailored treatment approaches (Bazoukis et al., 2022). The convergence of AI and medicine has significant potential to stimulate innovation, expedite medical breakthroughs, and tackle the many obstacles confronting the healthcare sector. The partnership between AI and healthcare practitioners is crucial in order to fully use the capabilities of AI-enhanced medicine and guarantee its appropriate and efficient incorporation into clinical settings. The development, validation, and deployment of AI technologies in healthcare necessitate collaboration with medical experts to guarantee their clinical relevance, safety, and ethical utilization, notwithstanding the remarkable potential they present for enhancing healthcare delivery (Johnson et al., 2021).
