Abstract

This study aims to analyze the emergent and disruptive digital technologies in an era of artificial intelligence (IA). It departs from the assumption that the emerging technologies create both opportunities and challenges with an impact on individuals, organizations, institutions, and society at large in terms of bias, surveillance, hacking, etc. The method employed is the critical analysis based on the recent developments reported in scientific literature. It is concluded that control over the ethical disruption of digital technologies and more specifically artificial strategy must require a digital conversation and leadership about acceptable ethical behaviors, under the assumption that digital transformation cannot be interrupted and must be guided by humans in in following years of the near future.

Human development in recent decades has been accompanied by emergent and rapid disruptive technological changes leading to a growing proliferation of digitized devices and services. Emergent and disruptive digital technologies have become intrinsic to our current way for life and will be part of our future lifestyle, from mundane routines and activities to improvement of productive, contributing to manage the requirements of an economic growth in a more competitive and dynamic environment, and evaluating the balance of power for a more collective security.

Artificial intelligence is a digital transformation lead using emerging technologies that have broken into all areas and sectors worldwide leading to get benefits in terms of agility, efficiency, transparency, and social welfare, so it can be affirmed that the emerging and disruptive digital technologies play a preponderant role in our environment and can do everything for us!

Artificial intelligence (AI), internet of things (IoT), blockchain and Chat GPT, among others, are emergent and disruptive digital technologies that aid human beings and societies in quick and efficient way to increase economic productivity, support the social wellbeing by providing a more educated, productive and healthier lifestyle of individuals, anticipate and prevent responses to crisis and disasters, absorbing shocks, etc. (Sharifi, Khavarian-Garmsir, & Kummitha, 2021). An increased level of research in chatbots designed to respond to queries of the user by mapping the best possible response in real time feedback, are based on adopted language models and deep learning to address natural language processes (NLP) (Lokman & Ameedeen, 2018; Kushwaha & Kar, 2021).

Thus, the organic process of creative destruction applies to a new cycle of emerging and disrupting digital technologies that will win the competition leading to the entire transformation of the technological socio-ecosystem.
