Abstract

The aim of the study was to find the influence of leadership on employee motivation and performance in the private sector in Albania. The project used a case study as the research design. A questionnaire and semi-structured interviews were used as the primary means of data collection to gain an understanding of how employees form their opinions about the Agna Group. Agna Group employees were selected to meet the target demographic and a random sample of 112 employees was selected for this study. The study revealed that motivational variables such as management, pay, work environment, perception of organizational support, training, recognition, and rewards influence employees' motivation levels and job satisfaction. The study showed that Agna Group employees had a good relationship between management and employee performance and productivity, but it had no effect on talent prevention. The study results can be useful for employers and employees to increase awareness of the aspects that lead to high levels of motivation and job satisfaction.

Introduction

Organizational success is the result of a combination of components that are integrated to achieve the desired results according to the purpose of the company. Human capital is the most important; that is why companies are constantly looking for the best people to lead and implement this path to success. In the last decade, much emphasis has been placed on employees, their motivation level and job satisfaction. In the discipline of human resource management, people in any organization are viewed as an asset that is both valuable and difficult to capture. Many business leaders believe that motivation, not ability, is the most important factor in developing human effectiveness and efficiency in any field.

Employees are considered to possess certain characteristics that ensure that their efforts will benefit the company (Ragothaman, 2020). These remarkable people are visionary leaders who inspire others to achieve. Leaders use different strategies to influence followers; some focus on work, while others are more concerned with bonding in the workplace. The organization “Agna Group”, the focus of this case study, uses all available resources, including human, material and financial resources, to achieve the desired results. If a company wants to achieve and maintain success, its employees and employees must have exceptional skills and consistent application. In today's rapidly changing business environment where competition is fiercer, companies must use different survival strategies to succeed. Active employee involvement is one of the best possible results-driven techniques. As Ragothaman (2020) argues, organizational leadership styles can affect employee motivation; Therefore, when employees are excited about their work, they perform better and perform at their best. According to him, this means that modern workplaces are more focused on human resources, which requires a change in management style and the creation of a more collaborative work environment. Leadership and the multiple styles associated with it have a significant impact on the performance and development of individuals, leading to favourable organizational outcomes. The main reason for this research is to further expand the body of knowledge in human resources and the effects of different leadership styles on people's motivational levels and commitment as predictors for organizational success
