Abstract

The issues of organization and effectiveness assessment of the educational process in the distance learning system are discussed. The action research methodology is used for analysis of teaching and to assess the quality of communications between teachers and students in the process of online learning. The technical aspects of using distance technologies based on the Moodle platform are considered. The advantages and disadvantage of distance learning are analyzed in the opinion of students and teachers. Recommendations for improving the quality of education in the context of blended and distance learning are presented.

Introduction

Methods of pedagogical communication in higher education are aimed at the development of effective intercommunications and interactions between students and teachers. Pedagogical communications are determined by the nature and content of joint activities, and the essence of the pedagogical process. In the learning process, teachers and students interact, and the result is mutual changes in their behavior and relationships. The main functions of pedagogical communication can be called: organizational, informational, control-evaluative and emotional-corrective.

For the correct organization of the process of pedagogical communications, it is necessary to determine the goals, nature and content of joint activities, means, structure, form and model of communication. The pedagogical process can be represented in the form of specially organized interaction of teachers and students about the content of education, the choice of means and the achievement of educational goals. The general scheme of the pedagogical process can be presented: the purpose of education (why to teach); content of education (what to teach); educational methods (how to teach); means of pedagogical communication; cyclical actions of teachers and students aimed at learning outcomes (figure 1).

After analyzing various forms of pedagogical communication, one can distinguish their both positive - passion for creative activity, friendly disposition, and negative aspects - distancing, outdated teaching methods that make it difficult to achieve goals and learning outcomes.

During the global quarantine due to COVID-19, universities are actively involved in the implementation of distance technologies in various forms of education. The changed teaching conditions, the transition to distance education (can be defined as one of the forms of distancing), required additional analysis of methods of pedagogical communication, analysis of the selected communication technology and modeling of a new communication technology to increase the effectiveness of distance learning.

The transition to distance (digital) education has led to a significant decrease in the role of the teacher in the educational process with a sharp increase in the importance of self-study using digital technologies. At the same time, the digital educational environment, the system of online courses and other educational resources are presented as independent teaching tools that ensure the high efficiency of the educational process. The distance technologies, methods, and teaching aids used are closely related to the organization of students' work, and actively influence the achievement of the goals and results of education. The most vulnerable for distance learning the socio-psychological level of communication can be called, which determines the interpersonal and group relationships of the teacher with students and students among themselves.

When organizing distance learning, it is necessary to pay attention to such research issues as: implementation of various technologies to ensure high-quality distance learning; creation of the latest teaching methods that increase student motivation; ensuring effective communication between teachers and students.

As one of the forms of research that can be aimed at successfully changing the educational process, as well as achieving that obtained through a continuous process of collecting data, analyzing the subsequent action based on the results obtained, the Action research methodology can be used as a flexible research tool.

The Action research approach deals with the investigation of actions in various situations that teachers and students may find themselves in. Situations can be critical (for example, COVID-19) that require a certain immediate, practical response and changes (corrections). The Action research approach can be effective in training teachers and developing teaching practices, analyzing the learning process, identifying difficulties, developing an approach to improve the quality of teaching

The aim of the work is to increase the effectiveness of communication between teachers and students through the introduction of technological and pedagogical methods to ensure the quality of education using online technologies. To achieve this goal, the following tasks are solved:
