Introduction

The importance of processes for organizations is growing. Due to increases in competitiveness and, consequently, in customer focus, organizations should be conscious of their processes. The focus on consumer and business processes has never been so intense. Therefore, it is important to improve the processes in order to improve the performance of an organization.

Increasing and continuous pressures for performance improvement make organizations rethink and change the way they operate their activities. In this context, law firms, as in so many other businesses, increasingly seek the rational use of processes, increased productivity, and better customer service. They are, therefore, facing the following issues: How would it be possible to achieve more operational results with fewer resources and at the same time generate value for the customer? How should we improve the management model to gain with integration, efficiency and increased economic-financial results?

In this line, this article will address the necessity and usefulness of the redesign of production processes, with the use of technology for value generation, for a law firm in the tax area.
