Social media technology has become an intrinsic part of the students' intellectual development. The main purpose of using social media is to get the current information. This study aims to provide the social media influence on students intellectual development. This study adopted survey research method to collect the primary data from 468 students. The influence of social media is explained by R-squared, is very low, and with the help of ANOVA test, the significant value was analyzed.

According to the survey, utilising social media is more advantageous for users since they can access information from all over the world, make connections with people in other parts of the world, and social media ties are crucial in our modern life.

The objective was to identify the problems that social media users face and potential solutions, as well as how social media impacts education and learning. The study discovered that because social media is one of the most significant platforms for resource sharing, it will have an impact on knowledge, the knowledge society, education, learning, and research.
