Educational leadership is a holistic approach to managing educational institutions, influencing their direction, culture, and effectiveness, encompassing principles, practices, and qualities that shape the overall educational system (Agrawal, Pitchai, Senthamaraikannan, Balaji, et al., 2023; Durairaj, Jayakumar, Karpagavalli, et al., 2023).
Educational leadership can be defined as the process of planning, guiding, and managing educational institutions or systems with the goal of creating an environment that facilitates the attainment of educational objectives, enhances learning outcomes, and promotes the professional growth of educators. Educational leaders, often referred to as educational administrators or school/college/university principals, superintendents, and deans, are responsible for making strategic decisions, setting educational policies, and implementing initiatives that align with the vision and mission of the organization(Shaturaev & Bekimbetova, 2021). The components of educational leadership is illustrated in Figure 1 and explained below:
