Anastasio García Roca

Anastasio García-Roca has a Ph.D. in Human and Social Sciences from the University of Almería. His doctoral thesis, entitled , obtained Outstanding Cum Laude with international mention. He has carried out research stays at the University of Seville, the Georgia Tech Institute, and the University of Silesia. The lines of research he develops are related to language and literature didactics, digital reading, the reading habits and behaviors of young people and adolescents, and media and information literacy in media contexts of disinformation. His studies have been published in high-impact international journals and publications. In addition, he has presented at international conferences in different countries (Poland, Portugal, Italy, Chile, and the United States) and universities in Spain (Almería, Alicante, Badajoz, Madrid, Málaga, Cuenca, Seville, and Granada). Many of these experiences have involved publishing chapters with prestigious publishers. Finally, he has participated as a working group member in three national research, development, and innovation projects with references EDU201569924-R, PGC2018-101457-B-I00, and TED2021-129984A-I00. These were financed by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, respectively. Currently, he is conducting a research stay at the University of Murcia financed through a Margarita Salas postdoctoral contract from the teacher requalification program for 2021–2023. This is convened by the University of Almería (ref. RR_A_2021_13) and financed by the Spanish Ministry of Universities and the European Union.
