Carley Michelle Shinault

Carley Shinault earned her B.A in Psychology from Purdue University in 2004 and her M.A.S.S. in Public Administration from Florida A&M University in 2006. She received her Ph.D. in Political Science from Howard University in 2017. In 2016, she was hired as Assistant Professor of Political Science at Bloomsburg University. Her research and publications address salience of race and class on public opinion about interracial coalitions, public policy, and gentrification. In 2019, Dr. Shinault accepted a post-doctoral fellowship with University of Houston in African American Studies. She is currently a lecturer in the department while also serving as a Civil Rights Specialist with Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
