Goran Bošković

Goran Bošković is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kragujevac. He holds a Ph.D. in Technical Sciences with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering, which he obtained from the University of Kragujevac in 2014. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university, completed in 2006. With over 15 years of experience in conducting waste management and Geographic Information System (GIS) research, education, and project implementation, Dr. Bošković is a recognized expert in his field. His Ph.D. dissertation focused on solid waste management and GIS, specifically on increasing energy efficiency in solid waste collection. Dr. Bošković is fluent in English and is a member of several professional bodies, including the Serbian Solid Waste Association (SeSWA), the Serbian GIS Association, and the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA). In addition to his academic and research work, Dr. Bošković has been involved in numerous waste management and GIS projects in Serbia and the surrounding region. He has implemented projects in 11 municipalities in Serbia and has regional experience in South-East Europe, including Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Macedonia. His current position involves being a Circular Economy expert in the Adriatic-Ionian region, where he is involved in the preparation of an accredited transnational master's degree on Circular Economy. He is also an expert in waste management for PUC Šumadija Kragujevac in Serbia, working on the GIS optimization of waste collection routes. Furthermore, Dr. Bošković serves as a waste information expert for the Environment Accession Project in Serbia, providing support to the Serbian Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in improving waste reporting obligations. Dr. Bošković has published extensively in journals and conferences on topics related to waste management, energy efficiency, GIS, and circular economy. His expertise, strong organizational skills, and regional experience make him a valuable asset in the field of waste management and GIS.
