José M. Rodríguez Ferrer

Jose Miguel Rodriguez Ferrer is a graduate of Psychology. He has a master’s in General Health Psychology and a doctorate in Medical Sciences from the University of Almería. Currently, he serves as an interim substitute professor at the University of Jaén. His research focuses on using playful methodologies, specifically gamification (learning through games) and escape rooms, in various contexts, primarily in education and as a sensitization tool. Within the realm of playful methodologies, his studies examine variables like motivation, learning, performance, classroom climate, and student engagement, where these learning strategies are employed rather than more passive approaches. He has conducted these investigations across multiple educational stages, particularly emphasizing secondary education and university settings. He has also made contributions to educational innovation in the university environment. His publications explore innovative approaches in education, such as flipped classrooms, service learning, and project-based learning.
